Hi all netball fanatics!!!!!
Daughter of Late Mrs Iga Lahari.
hmmmm..what can I say? well, I started playing netball as young as I could remember, maybe at the age of 5. There was this particular year and I was so young that I cried at the finals along with Sylvia Simon because we couldn't play..haha I have the picture of the exact day standing with Sylvia on the sideline crying with our mothers..:)
I played for telstars and my main mentor was Bubu Veitu Diro. We never missed a grand final, starting from under 10 right up to under 17. I think i was the youngest in the in team because no one believed my age playing at the same age level as the other. I played alongside, Julianne Diro, Harieasa Launch, Catherine Pidik, just to name a few.
I love every moment of it, so excitted that I'd sleep early every Friday night and Mom would make pasta for me. We'd be so serious every saturday and never missed a game plan. I forgot what they call these game plans but they seemed to work..haha. It was that kind of life where everything seemed to be perfect. "Chilhood"- who wouldn't want to leave it??
Although I play tennis and tennis has taken me all over the world, Netball will and always have/has a place in my heart. My whole family grew up in the Netball surroundings. Carol being repesenting PNG netball overseas and now is the Vice President of Port Moresby Netball Association , Lawrence, Ari and Dad had no choice but to take mom to the courts..haha. As early as eight in the morning, Mom would be there everyday. I don't recall her missing a day.
With all that being said, have a great day and please exercise a lot.
